What are the options after Class 12 Science in Gujarat?
Group A (PCM) students most commonly go into degree engineering through GUJCET or JEE Main, or into pharmacy, architecture, or a BSc. Group B (PCB) students go into medicine and allied health through NEET, or into pharmacy, physiotherapy, biotechnology or a BSc. Both groups can also take a BSc or a professional course.
For Group A (PCM)
Degree engineering through GUJCET for state seats or JEE Main for national institutes, is the most common route. Pharmacy and architecture also accept PCM.
A BSc in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics remains open and is often underrated, particularly for students heading towards research or teaching.
For Group B (PCB)
MBBS and BDS through NEET is the route most students aim at. Allied health, physiotherapy, nursing, biotechnology and pharmacy are large fields with real demand and far less discussed.
A BSc in the life sciences is also a legitimate route rather than a fallback.
If the entrance result was not what you hoped
A repeat year is a real option, but only when you can name precisely what will be different. If the honest answer is that you will study harder, that is usually not enough on its own.
The alternative is entering a related course and lateral routes later. Neither is a failure; they are different trades of time.
Where to check the details
Admission processes, eligibility and seat matrices are set by the admission authorities and change every year. Confirm on the official pages before deciding anything.
