Engineering, branch by branch.
DDCET is a Gujarat examination, and the diploma-to-degree route is a Gujarat route. Darshit Sir is a practising Instrumentation and Control engineer, so the branch subjects are taught by someone who has done the degree, not someone reading a semester ahead.

The entrance
What DDCET covers.
- Mathematics — The largest single lever in the paper. Calculus, algebra, trigonometry, coordinate geometry and statistics, at diploma level rather than Class 12 level.
- Applied Physics — Mechanics, properties of matter, heat, waves, optics, electricity and modern physics, framed for engineering application rather than pure theory.
- Applied Chemistry — Atomic structure and bonding, water technology, corrosion, fuels, lubricants, polymers and engineering materials.
- Communication Skills — Grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and technical communication. Routinely left until last and then left undone, despite being the fastest subject to improve.
- Aptitude and Logical Reasoning — Number systems, ratio and percentage, time and work, speed and distance, series, coding and decoding, and analytical reasoning.
Talk to the teacher, not a counsellor.
Bring the student's last two report cards. You will get an honest read on where they stand and which batch actually helps, from the person who will do the teaching.
