What Electronics and Communication engineering actually is

EC covers analog and digital circuits, signals, communication systems, microprocessors and embedded work. It is the branch with the widest gap between students who understand circuits and students who have memorised them.

Where students lose marks

Signals and Systems, and then Analog Communication, are where the branch separates. Both are mathematics-heavy in a way the first two semesters do not prepare students for, and a weak grip on transforms makes the rest of the degree painful.

Questions

Electronics and Communication engineering: common questions.

Do you teach all Electronics and Communication subjects, or only some?
All of them, across every semester. Electronics and Communication Engineering is taught for diploma semesters, for DDCET preparation, and for degree semesters through to final year, including backlog and ATKT subjects.
Which Electronics and Communication subject do students struggle with most?
Signals and Systems, and then Analog Communication, are where the branch separates. Both are mathematics-heavy in a way the first two semesters do not prepare students for, and a weak grip on transforms makes the rest of the degree painful.
Can I prepare for DDCET while finishing my Electronics and Communication diploma?
Yes, and most students do. DDCET preparation usually starts around the fifth semester, which leaves time to cover all five subjects and sit full mock papers without abandoning the current semester.
Is Electronics and Communication taught online as well as at the centre?
Yes. Every subject is taught live online with the same teacher and the same written work collected, marked and returned, as well as in the classroom in Paldi, Ahmedabad.

Talk to the teacher, not a counsellor.

Bring the student's last two report cards. You will get an honest read on where they stand and which batch actually helps, from the person who will do the teaching.
